Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on April 16th, 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The father of her is Argentine with Scottish-English heritage. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings, one from each of her parents' previous marriages. After living in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatizing and she did not take the time to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend following her departure from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school plays. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actress from a very young age. The realization of her dreams came after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling gig.
