Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been credited as composing songs in the One Direction band. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where, along with three schoolmates He formed his own group, White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. He was always interested in music but wanted to become a lawyer or physical therapy. Working part-time in a local bakery is his very first occupation to make money for his family. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. That's why his group was split. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a new band called One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to join the group in 2010. The group performed hits such as My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the award. However, they finished third, behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell was a millionaire under a contract with One Direction.
