Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson (born in 1961) is a former American actor. Elson began her acting career when she was a child, and later as a model. The actress is most famous as Alice Tyler in the CBS Science-fiction television series. Andrea auditioned for the part as Lynn Tanner of the ALF hit show (1986). The actress was a regular on various television shows and Movies of the week before she made the decision to quit the world of entertainment. Andrea Elson's role as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teenage daughter was not easy for her. In her retrospective from 2000, People Elson said developing as an actress in the midst of an audience that viewed sitcoms was a challenge. The green-eyed New York City native grew in her travels due to the advertising job her father had. In the ten years before her tenth birthday Andrea lived in New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. In San Diego Andrea got an agent and won the first role she attempted to audition for. Fusco justified the statement by saying "ALF is 285 years old, therefore he's an adult who is able to drink alcohol." NBC warned Fusco to keep ALF from drinking in front of kids because it's unwise. Even though Fusco was of the opinion that ALF was an adult he could do the same thing with drinking ... and die. In 1995, he was identified with lymphoma. He was successfully treated and continued to be in remission until 2019. He passed away from the illness on June 26, 2019 aged 75 at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood New Jersey.
