Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan, better known as Sundar Picha is an Indian-American business executive. [6] He serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineering. He obtained an M.S. in the United States after relocating to the United States. He was awarded a Masters degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He also received an MBA from the Wharton School of Pennsylvania. Following a brief time at McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. At Google, he was in charge of the development of Google Drive, and for innovation and product management. He also led the creation of Google Maps and Gmail. Pichai announced in the year 2010 that Google had made the video codec VP8 open-source and had also launched WebM an entirely new video format. The Chromebook was released in 2012. In 2013 Pichai added Android to the catalog of Google products he oversees.
