Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez was born Rosa Maria Perez 6 September 1964. She is an American actress. Her breakout role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's portrayal of Tina in Fearless (1993) was rewarded with her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her film roles as a star since include It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado (2000), Pineapple Express (2008) as well as Birds of Prey (2020).Perez earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another Emmy nomination for her work in The Flight Attendant (2020-present). She has appeared in stage plays on Broadway including The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Fish in the Dark. She also co-hosted the 18th season of ABC's talk show The View. She attended Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. [11] Her mother lived in the poverty of Woodside Houses by 1999. She passed away from complications of AIDS in 1999.
